Gradescope by Turnitin selected as a finalist in SaaS Awards recognizing innovation and excellence

Gradescope is among a shortlist of software in the education and non-profit sectors that have demonstrated successful implementations and innovation.

Oakland, Calif.

Gradescope by Turnitin has been selected by the 2019 SaaS Awards as a finalist in the category for Best Product for Education or Non-Profits. This follows closely on the heels of being named best Science and STEM Instructional Solution by the 2019 SAAI CODiE Awards. Gradescope is a feedback and assessment platform combining deep instructor expertise with the latest artificial intelligence (AI) to dramatically reduce the pain and time associated with traditional grading.

Gradescope is a higher education solution that eliminates redundant work in the grading process for college and university faculty, particularly for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) courses. Gradescope streamlines the digitization of paper-based work, accelerates consistent and unbiased grading, and presents meaningful statistics to help identify class trends and student needs.

SaaS Awards recognize software-as-a-service products that are the top of their class. SaaS Awards and Cloud Awards organizer Larry Johnson said, “The standard of entries this year was incredibly high, with consistent attention to innovation and most importantly, customer success. The volume of entries warranting consideration of a place on the coveted shortlist was unprecedented.”

Mr. Johnson continued, “In our fourth year promoting SaaS exclusively alongside its sister awards program, the Cloud Awards, we have again seen a wide range of entries from Canada, Europe, Australia and the East joining those from the US. Moreover, again we are seeing such innovation from established blue-chips to agile start-ups. All seek to provide essential productivity tools to their users by leveraging cloud-based software solutions. The judges are set to have a nearly impossible task when selecting the final winners in a few short weeks.”

On September 3, 2019, the top winners will be announced. Over 400 organizations and products from North America, Canada, Australia, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East were entered in this year’s program. View the full shortlist here.
