Moodle, the world’s most popular learning platform, today announced its new partnership with Turnitin, a global leader in academic integrity and originality checking services. From Monday 16 September 2019, the Turnitin SimCheck service will be available as a certified integration for the Moodle platform. This partnership helps instructors ensure that student work submitted via Moodle is original and free of plagiarism.
SimCheck is easy-to-use and designed around empowering your organization. It provides users with access to an intuitive Similarity Report, providing text matches and an indicative similarity score that enables instructors to confidently check for potential plagiarism and promote academic integrity. The integration with Moodle will provide an efficient assignment submission process and file management, as well as simple user administration.
Martin Dougiamas, Founder and CEO, Moodle, says, “We welcome Turnitin to our Moodle Certified Integration Partner Program. This partnership confirms Moodle’s commitment to our education users by providing easier, integrated access to services that complement our open source learning platform, improving the experience for educators and students alike.”
Valerie Schreiner, Chief Product Officer, Turnitin, says, “Turnitin is thrilled to become a part of the Certified Moodle Integration Partner Program. This partnership will allow Turnitin to have a more meaningful contribution to the Moodle Community and will make our market-leading similarity check capabilities even more accessible to customers of Moodle partners.”
Moodle and Turnitin will be hosting webinars and demonstrations to assist users with the integration into their system.
Turnitin will be attending MoodleMoot US 2019 (17-19 September).
