Turnitin Feedback Studio with Draft Coach wins Gold Stevie® Award in the 2021 American Business Awards®

Turnitin Feedback Studio with Draft Coach earns gold award in the category of Learning Capacity-Building Solution

Oakland, Calif.

Turnitin Feedback Studio with Draft Coach was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Learning Capacity-Building Solution category in The 19th Annual American Business Awards® today. Over 3,800 nominations were submitted for this year’s award, a record number. Turnitin provides tools that help educators uphold integrity and streamline assessments while supporting students in doing their best, original work.

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be virtually presented to winners during a live event on Wednesday, June 30. Tickets for the virtual event are now on sale.

Turnitin Feedback Studio with Draft Coach helps students improve their academic writing and research skills by providing access to Similarity Reports and citation feedback as they draft in Google Docs. Draft Coach lives where students work and supports them in doing proper research, citing their sources, and delivering high-quality academic writing. By providing students with formative feedback on citations and matches with Turnitin’s database of internet, student papers, and academic content, Draft Coach helps educators cultivate more independent learners and confident writers.

The Stevie Award judges recognized Turnitin Feedback Studio with Draft Coach for helping students develop necessary skills for the information age: “Being able to read, write and research effectively is perhaps the most important life skill young people can obtain, especially in an Internet world where information is often unreliable...Turnitin is a welcome option for addressing this challenge.”

More than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

“The American economy continues to show its resilience, and as we’re poised on the beginning of what should be a phenomenal period of growth, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of a wide range of organizations and people over the past 18 months,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher. “This year’s Stevie-winning nominations in The American Business Awards are testament to the ingenuity, the commitment, the passion, the adaptability, and the creativity of the American people. We look forward to celebrating this year’s winners during our virtual ceremony on June 30.”
